what you're looking at was a main open gym area they used to use. we know there were 20 girls and their families here last night. they were practicek. we're told by police on the scene they came outside because they haired the storm coming through, then decided to go back inside. you can see the black door right there in the distance. that is a room, we're told again by officials, is that sort of encased in metal, the most safe area, they believe, to go inside. they went in there. only two people, amazingly, out of everybody had more serious injuries, some leg fractures, perhaps a broken ankle of some sort, but again, seven people in all had some sort of injury. four of them had to go to the hospital. you can look up and see that entire area of glass there, completely shattered. then back down -- i don't know if we can see, irene, in the distance there, the trophy case that was completely smashed. now, this entire roof blew over top, went that way in front of me and landed on a house in the distance. it really is just amazing to see this destruction

most of us, just about all of us have the power back on. last night, i was one of those people that lost power again last night. >> you didn't. you didn't lose power 6 fist time. not the first time, but last night. >> for how long? >> 2 1/2 hours. >> my goodness, poor baby. >> it was horrible, i couldn't believe it. hot temperatures out there, you know -- yes, it was on the hot side across the area. 11 days in a row with 95 degrees or higher, that is an all-time report. four days of 100 or higher. that is a record tying our 1930 summer, a very hot summer in 1930, but so far this is the hottest ever across the region. we had 14 days of 100 degrees or higher. this is the most 100-degree days in a three-year period. well-just starting our summer. as a matter of fact we're talking five 100-degree days already. that's the earliest. it looks like 87 degrees. the coolest day we have seen in two weeks. 87 is only two degrees shy of our average of 89. a very nice evening. still a bit on the humid side, but not all that bad. 90 in frederick, 85 in ba
